Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1 c. (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 c. semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

  • 1Preheat oven to 375° and line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • 2In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. In a large bowl, using a hand mixer, beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.
  • 3Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour and mix until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
  • 4Using a small cookie scoop, scoop cookie dough onto baking sheets at least 2” apart.
  • 5Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden.
