Scones without butter



  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream


40 minutes
  • 1Mix all dry ingredients and then the heavy cream.
  • 2Dust a work surface with flour and place dough. Pat dough into a 1 1/4-inch-thick rectangle with floured hands and cut out as many rounds as possible with a biscuit cutter, or even a round glass. Gather scraps, reroll once, and cut out more rounds.
  • 3Place scones in a prepared baking sheet and bake for around 20 minutes or until light golden brown.
