Glazed orange bundt cake



  • ¼ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp orange zest

  • 1Preheat oven to 350F (180C).
  • 2Grease a 6 cup bundt cake pan. See note below.
  • 3With an electric mixer, beat butter, sugar and orange zest in a large bowl.
  • 4Add egg and continue beating.
  • 5In another bowl, stir together flour, baking powder and salt.
  • 6Stir flour mixture and milk alternately into butter mixture.
  • 7Stir until mixture is no longer lumpy.
  • 8Pour batter in pan and bake for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the widest part of the cake comes out clean.
  • 9Let cake cool completely before removing from pan.
  • 10Mix all ingredients in a bowl and drizzle glaze on top of the cake.
